Mint and black - soft yet striking. The mint brings a fresh, airy lightness while the black adds contrast and edge, creating a balance between delicate and bold.

INTERVIEW
What’s your name and what do you do?
My name is Gemma. By day I’m a marketing manager and graphic designer, and by night I’m a bass player and bandmate.
How did your band come together?
Our band came together pretty organically. David, our frontman, and I met at a coffee shop and started dating. He taught me his songs, and playing together became the foundation of the band. We met our drummer, Davis, and our guitarist Jared through other gigs and sort of lovingly poached them. Oliver, our keys player, played with David and me in a previous project called Nordista Freeze. Along the way, we built a Discord for DIY and indie-alt lovers, which really took off and continues l the band a lot of momentum
What does style or fashion mean to you as an artist?
Fashion means a lot to me as an artist. When I’m on stage, I’m not always speaking, so what I wear becomes another way to express myself. I sew and alter thrifted pieces in my free time, and my mom works in fashion, so I’ve always seen clothing as an extension of who I am and fashion has been a part of my life for a long time. Feeling comfortable in my clothes like they’re a second skin it helps me feel confident in my body and present on stage. That’s usually when I have my best shows.
What are your favorite EMERSON ISA pieces, and what draws you to them?
That’s such a hard question because I genuinely love everything, but I’d have to say the Naomi set. The detailing on the skirt paired with the lace gives black a completely different personality. It feels timeless but still special, and it goes with almost anything. I love how versatile it is and how fun it is to layer and style in different ways.
Blue, grey, and silver feel like winter, but in a sweet way. Light blue reminds me of ice and candy at the same time – playful, soft, and a little nostalgic. Grey grounds it. It feels strong and lived-in, like something old in the best way. Silver adds a quiet edge that catches the light.
Together, the combination feels effortless but powerful. Soft without being too sweet. There’s a pull between softness and strength that feels timeless and cool.
